As a company whose core customers are federal government agencies, including a significant client base within the Department of Defense (DoD), ProSource360 is better able to serve our customers under this contract.
Getting contracts fulfilled can take valuable time and resources. If the federal government can engage private businesses who are already approved under a Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC), it can fulfill specific needs and complete work much faster. The 8(a) STARS III is a type of GWAC.
The 8(a) STARS III contract is specifically set aside for some of those who qualify for the 8(a) program (a federal business development program for small, disadvantaged businesses), with particular focus on contracts related to IT. In addition to providing quality service, being part of the 8(a) STARS III contract allows ProSource360 to help these agencies meet their requirement to diversify budgetary spending in a way that creates economic opportunities for smaller companies. The contract period is a five year base, with one three year option.
ProSource360 is now part of an exclusive group of small businesses that have access to bid on a diverse range of contracts in the Information Technology service area, including contracts associated with Emerging Technology and in areas designated Outside the Continental U.S. (OCONUS).
